Cammini Divini: Tastings Among Abbeys, Vineyards, and Olive Groves

Feb 2, 2026Senza categoria

Cammini Divini is an event that combines culture, spirituality, slow tourism, and food and wine tastings in some of Lazio’s most evocative monastic sites. The event took place over three Saturdays among cloisters, paths immersed in nature, and tastings of wines and artisanal products, with the involvement of local producers and organizations linked to Slow Food.

The main stages were the Abbey of Montecassino (Frosinone), the Abbey of Valvisciolo (Latina), and Subiaco (Rome)—places rich in history, mysticism, and landscapes of great beauty. The wine selection was extensive and representative of the Lazio region: from Frascati Superiore DOCG to Cesanese del Piglio, as well as wines based on Malvasia, Trebbiano, and Pecorino, accompanied by local gastronomic specialties.

  • Abbey of Valvisciolo (November 22): an abbey of medieval origin linked to Templar legends and the Holy Grail, featuring routes through olive groves and historic villages such as Sermoneta, Bassiano, and Norma, as well as the Gardens of Ninfa.

  • Abbey of Montecassino: an abbey symbolizing rebirth and resilience, founded by Saint Benedict, destroyed and rebuilt several times until its reconsecration in 1964; today, it is a meeting point for historical memory, spirituality, and landscape.
  • Subiaco (December 6): the final stage among woods and cliffs, featuring Benedictine sites such as the Monastery of Saint Benedict (Sacro Speco) and Santa Scolastica, with references to Roman and medieval history and the birth of printing.

Cammini Divini was therefore an experiential journey that celebrated the slow pace, the beauty of sacred places, and the food and wine excellence of Lazio.
