Jul 16, 2025PRESS RELEASE

JUNE 3, 2025

AN AMERICAN FOUNDATION
SERVING ITALIAN EXCELLENCE

Washington D.C., June 3, 2025

On the occasion of the Italian Republic Day, on June 2, 2025, the Assembly of Founders of what would, the following day, assume legal status as ITALIC·US Foundation, convened in Washington, D.C. The choice of this highly symbolic date aims to strengthen the deep bond between Italy and its communities worldwide, which finds its greatest historical expression in the United States of America in the spirit of cultural and civil alliance that aims to guide the Foundation.

The mission of ITALIC·US is twofold: on one hand, to provide informational, cultural, and operational support to Italians residing in the United States and to local communities of Italian descendants; on the other, to support Italian businesses, professionals, and creatives who wish to bring their talent, products, and expertise to the United States.

The Foundation aims to serve as a platform connecting Italian excellence with American society, contributing to mutual growth through projects that promote an authentic expression of Made in Italy, understood as a synthesis of history, culture, territory, products, and unique experiences.

ITALIC·US thus positions itself as a promoter in dialogue with the social, entrepreneurial, and institutional fabric of the United States, fostering the development of initiatives and projects of a charitable, cultural, and educational nature, both in Italy and overseas.
Its motto, “Bridging the Atlantic, celebrating true Italian excellence”, encapsulates the Foundation’s commitment to building genuine bridges between two worlds, giving voice to stories, ideas, and visions that embody the best of contemporary Italy and its heritage.

Founded by a first generation of Italian professionals who have built their lives and careers between Italy and the United States, ITALIC·US is non-partisan, non-denominational, and non-profit.
The founders at the time of establishment are;
Avv. Fabio Maggesi, already head of the International Law Firm MEPLAW, with an Italo-American vocation, now President of the Foundation,
Dr. Maby Palmisano, a researcher based in Washington D.C., Vice President and Secretary of the Foundation,
Dr. Luca Marco Giraldin, an international tax expert and specialist in Made in Italy and business internationalization, Board Member and Treasurer.

The Foundation’s activities will be entirely supported by donations, sponsorships, and membership fees, and every contribution will be exclusively allocated to supporting social, cultural, and educational initiatives, as well as charitable organizations that share the same values and goals.

The Foundation intends to become a point of reference for all Italian entities wishing to showcase their uniqueness in the United States, offering them a space to express themselves, grow, and actively participate.
At the same time, ITALIC·US serves the Italian communities as a concrete support tool for the protection of their interests and identity.
Through a concrete and inclusive approach, ITALIC-US aims to strengthen Italy’s image in the United States of America, not only as a place of origin but as a shared soul, capable of uniting quality, beauty, history, and innovation.

With enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of responsibility, the Board of Directors is committed to building a future where Italy and the United States are not simply two neighboring worlds, but two parts of the same vision, recognized and celebrated in its deepest authenticity: one that arises from inclusion and uniqueness.

With pride, vision, and responsibility,

The Board of Directors
